Ward group are a way to organise wards together with others that are related in one way or another, such as grouping them together by hospital wing. First and foremost ward groups are just another way to customise user views and reports, but crucially they can also be used to streamline the collection procedure. By scanning a "ward group collection code" it's possible to collect not only a whole ward's prescriptions, but the prescriptions for the entire ward group using just a single barcode. This can be useful to line up the PTS collection procedure with how your collections are already carried out. | |||
