The target duration time of a prescription amends itself when it is suspended for x amount of time.

Can the website and dispensary status screen show the new ACTUAL target time (as in Actual amount of time in a suspended state plus the original target time) as oposed to the guessed target time (scanned suspened time plus original target time)

It is causeing probelms in our dispensary when prescriptions appear to be within target time, when they are actually not.

thanks.

Hi Stefan,

This is a good observation and we can see how what you've suggested would be a worthwhile improvement. I will have our development team look into the feasibilities of this and get back to you.

Hi Stefan,

I'm not 100% sure what it is that you are after. The 'actual amount of time in a suspended state' will keep rising from when the suspend code was scanned until another activity is recorded - this doesn't give you a target time?

Could you please clarify what it is that you are after?

Thanks

Hi Marc, Chris,

Thanks for getting back to me - just to clarify Chris.

On the status pages, the bar that turns from green to red showing "target duration" calculates the target duration of a prescription based on the set turn around time (GROUBSTANDARDMINS) PLUS the scanned amount of suspended time (jobvaluec) and will only go red if the jobs actual duration (GetPrescriptionDuration) exceeds that ammount.

What this means is if a presciption booked in as a TTO its got an initial target duration of 2 hours. Then if its scanned for suspended for 2 hours the website gives this a new target duration of 4 hours. However if the item is worked on again after 30 mins, then the target duration should only be 2 hours 30 - not the 4 hours thats still displayed.

In our disp, some prescriptions are not meeting their turnaround time because despite (still using the above example) the target is 2 hours 30 that they are working to, the staus screens are showing the prescriotn as well within the target duration.

The reports "Prescriptions completed within target times" and "Prescriptions completed within target times" reflected that too, giving turn around times within 96-97% where as reports "Completion time summary report (and includes 8 hours)" reflect the true percent within 2 hours based on getprescriptionduration

Stefan,

I think I understand now, what you are saying is that once a prescription is resumed then the original suspend duration is overwritten with the recorded suspend duration.

This will need to be included as an option in a future release of the software (some Trusts I know would not want the target time resetting like this), I will add this request to our development log.

Thanks

Chris
